finn’s the original concept was established 12 years ago in polzeath on the beautiful cornish coast line. Now renamed as The Boathouse and positioned in the harbour at Newquay the same traditions of cooking are continued.
The seafood isn’t your ordinary battered cod it has clean tastes and fresh uncomplicated flavours. the food is a picture on a plate, but only in the sense that what you see, was what you ate. no frills or artifice get in the way.
Our food has imposed discipline in uncomplicated presentation for its beauty is in its natural austerity: a lobster simply dressed with olive oil and a rub of chilli, a skewer of monk fish and king prawns char-grilled to perfection or a plate of fresh scallops just pan fried is perfect. The Boathouse Restaurant believes that all that is on the plate is to be eaten.
For the non fish eaters there is still plenty of choice, for either meat or vegetarian palettes.
